I made myself a challenge

I made a visual for my weight loss:

Its two jars with "to go" and "lost" written on them. I made them to motivate myself. So far, I've actually put three gems back in the to go jar. Which made me think I needed something to kick start this. So I decided that I'd put my hand in the to go jar and pull out a handful of gems. However many I got, that was my goal to lose for now. It could have been small, it could have been large.

I pulled out 30 gems in that one handful. So that is my goal. I'm going to aim for a loss of 30 lbs. Its a lot of weight, so I'm thinking that giving myself 3 months is doable. 10 lbs a month isn't too outrageous. If I get it done before the three months, I'll just grab another handful and see what my next goal is. As it is, I have a total of 126 lbs left to lose. So who knows, maybe that next handful will be another 30, or maybe it will be 15. I have no idea, and so it will be a different challenge every time depending on how much I have to lose.

    Thanks! I just did this, 5 pounds to lose and I'm giving myself 2 weeks. My jars (plastic cups) have unpolished coarse rocks in it so I couldn't grab as many :-P
