Fit, Beautiful, and Relaxing Vacation!

We had an amazing vacation last week, and I'm still in awe over all we accomplished, and how perfectly everything fell into place without a plan. We just wanted to take it day by day, and go if we felt like it. It turned out being the perfect balance of fun, relaxation, and plenty of exercise. The best part about the exercise is that we did it together. My husband hates exercise and walking much, but he loved riding bikes together, and enjoyed taking long beach walks, and sight-seeing. He even went out on a few extra bike rides on his own, as he had a goal to reach building his endurance, and reaching a lengthy route before leaving. I'm also amazed I could hang in there with him as we enjoyed exploring the island together, and viewing the wildlife. We have had the bikes 2 years now, and we have nowhere to ride them, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm very proud that I had the endurance to go 3-8 miles at a really good clip, and without walking the bike. So I have ticked off another dream/vision goal this trip, along with continuing to make our getaway's active as well as relaxing.
We had a beautiful view on our deck too, and enjoyed awesome sunsets every evening, in peace and quiet, watching the dolphins play and the deer meandering over the dunes. A perfect quiet spot to enjoy reading too. We had some fabulous meals out, and I did very well with moderation, and we brought along some of our own healthy home-cooked meals as well. We enjoyed a few treats, but we had to ride (bikes) quite a ways to enjoy them. We both even lost a couple of lbs!
It was a fabulous trip, an awesome display of God's creation, and spending un-interrupted time alone togther was a real treat, and a wonderful blessing!
