Day 7 and holding on

Saturday, October 27, 2012

Telling people you are watching what you eat gets really boring. So I just keep reviewing what I am supposed to eat and then work around what is available. At least there are vegetables and quinoa around to make a salad. But the visit to everyone's favorite Mexican restaurant is difficult. First it is more southwestern "gourmetish" really good but not the traditional food. So the choices are hard, fish tacos seem to be a decent choice. The chips on the table are too hard to ignore. The tacos are good, even eating around the tortillas, the rice is tasty and the beans are ignored. The next day the scale is up a pound. Just going out raises the number, probably too much fat and salt. So today is better, but there is Italian salami, harder to resist than the chips. Sadly, there is another party tonight. Have to keep vigilant without whining or being a bore.

You certainly are exposed to a lot of temptation. I feel for you. I love Mexican food and Italian salami.
