Most of us, myself included live fairly routine even mundane daily lives. Once in a while something transcends the ordinariness of life. Don't get me wrong, my life could be a whole lot worse and I have gratitude for everything I have but there are these special moments. Last night watching a concert where Barbra Streisand sang with Il Volo and trumpet player Chris Botti was so uplifting.

There was one moment in that concert where I felt less than. It occurred to me what would it be like to have that voice come out of my body, to have an extraordinary talent to share with the world. So, I guess I will just settle for always trying to be a better me and a good person. The world will have to settle for that as my contribution.

I am still walking on air with all the lovely music swirling around in my mind. emoticon

Remember, If everyone had special singing voices... then they would all be ordinary.
If you treat everyone equal, then no one is treated "Special".
That is one reason you are "SPECIAL".. There is no one else out there that can contribute to the world what you have to give.

I have always loved Barbra Streisand and I'm so glad you enjoyed the concert. As for your talent, well I'd say your ability to find the words a person needs most and say them in a kind and encouraging way is an awesome talent. So many talents are ones that sit quietly and often go unseen or acknowledged, but I'd like to acknowledge your talent right here and now. I'd much rather have a friend who is kind and supportive than one that can belt out a song.

Wendy, I am so happy you had an amazing time at the concert.

You are definitely not less than. There are so many talents. Singing, dancing, painting, drawing, writing, photography, designing, building, fixing, creating things like crafts. Maybe you haven't found your talent yet or maybe you just haven't recognized it.

What you do share is amazing. I always look forward to your comments on my blogs. You always have the right words to say and your words are uplifting. Encouragement is one of the greatest gifts you can contribute to the world and you are succeeding greatly. :)
