Yet Another Glorious Re-Start, with a new motto

Sunday, November 04, 2012

My newest motto is:
"Celebrate initiation, not endurance."

By this, I mean to focus on just starting my exercise or healthy eating, and not worry so much about follow-through. I'm actually quite GOOD at follow-through, but initiation (getting started) is much more difficult.

So today, even though I had THREE pancakes with syrup this morning for breakfast, I just went ahead and started my gorgeous healthy yummy eating at lunch, having:
Salad (bagged) topped with 1/2 avocado, a small handful of whole almonds, turkey meat, and pico. No dressing, because the pico and avocado did the trick.

Yesterday, even though I had some Halloween candy, I went to the gym to BEGIN my restarted workout plan with 40 minutes on the elliptical! I had also done a workout during the week. I'm doing another workout this afternoon.

Does this sound familiar to anybody else? (the "once I get started, I'm good" thing)
