I had placed on my status a few days ago that I enjoyed blackened tipapia for dinner. In the Chicago area that pretty much is a food that is seasoned with cajun spices and, ahem...blackened. Not overdone, mind you, but dark and crispy on the outside. I found a great definition www.ehow.com/about_52715
There are many other ways to cook fish, of course, like with lemon and garlic or crumbs and slivered almonds. I also love salmon...no matter how it is cooked!
More news: my car is getting safe and winterized today. I will finally have a readio again so I can listen to my tunes! (oldies and country...probably not up your alley)
I HAVE JOINED A GYM-L Fitness. I tried another chain before, but the people did not seem friendly or helpful. I felt lost in a sea of fit and attractive people. Hey! I felt like a fish...not blackened...but 'out of water!' This one has a pool and anything else my heart could desire. I have a sit-down tomorrow with a personal trainer. I even saw chubby people there and everyone was very friendly.
I am trying my best to set up an author/speaker website. I have joined the National Speaker's Association, so I have credentials besides my Toastmasters ones. Since the facility where I taught and spoke has folded, I don't really have any testimonials or endorsements to put on the site yet. I'm going to ask some of my fellow Toastmasters friends to allow me to quote them without too much of their personal information.
Once I get a few speaking engagements I will be able to cease my employment with the state and do what I really love: share my knowledge of personal/spiritual growth, customer service skills, Toastmasters and SparkPeople (maybe I'd better check to see if that's all right with the coaches).
I am also certified by the Chicago Lung Association and the Mental Health Association of America to facilitate the Courage to Quit program for people who want to kick the habit.
Thank you so very much friends and future friends to supporting me in my endeavors. I wish I had more time to post on my teams.
Please let me know if you need support and how I may help!
Happy Thanksgiving to all...we certainly have much for which to be thankful!
