Ready to get back into routine... sort of

My son has finally mostly recovered from his surgery last week. He's still having a hard time eating (it was oral surgery, his stomach is fine) but he has finally almost gotten his attitude back! emoticon I actually kicked him out of the house today to go for a walk because it was a beautiful day and he was just moping around on the futon (we don't have a couch) and getting grumpier and grumpier. No more excuses to just lie there anymore! emoticon

I've been able to get some walks in and a little aerobics, just enough to keep my pedometer happy but not enough to keep ME happy! emoticon My shin splints hurt like heck tonight but I haven't done any core work or upper body since Wednesday! emoticon And I so miss feeling those muscles after they've been worked! emoticon

So I don't know how much I'll be able to do before school starts up again on Monday emoticon but starting tomorrow I should be able to get a whole lot closer to doing what I want to do now that my boy is better and no longer requires nursing emoticon

Although... I DID pick entirely the wrong week to try a c25k program. emoticon Surgery followed by a week long school holiday? That's a whole lot of full time mommy-ing! I'll start week 1 again when the kiddos go back to school. That should give me enough practices that I'll be able to do it regularly with at least 1 kid in tow during the December break. emoticon
