Wow, there are so many of us with this affliction. A few years back when I was still teaching, I saw me trying to go teach a multi-grade 1,2,3 class with sometimes even less than 1.5 hr. sleep. No, I wouldn't recommend sleeping pills, but I don't and can't sleep without them anymore. Since sleeplessness cause so many other medical problems, I just have to live with it. As my dr. and nurse put it, you take Metformin for your diabetes, why wouldn't you take sleeping meds for your sleeping problems. I do have to admit, sometimes they don't work either and it could get really complicated, btecause the zoplicone I take is supposed to put me to sleep, but then they recommend something else to keep me asleep, but so far I am doing just the one and somedays I have been waking up a lot earlier than need be. Oh well, such is life.

Wishing all a good sleep tonite.... lots of REM everyone...

You are so right that good sleep is a vital part of the journey to better health so i hope this is just a one day event. If it is not you may want to look into if the walking late is an issue for you.
Best wishes as your journey continues

Oh dear but you should sleep well tonight.

I think we all have days like this. You wake in the night and just lay there.

When this happens to me I get up and go read email for an hour. I then go back to bed and go to sleep.

Good luck on getting over it

    I hope this helps
