Time to refresh!

Sunday, December 02, 2012

OK. I think things are settling down now. Maybe. Whatever that means in my life, anyway. The kids are in school for a couple of weeks. They're both healthy. I'm mostly over this darned sinus infection (lingering headache and ear problems) but feeling decent again. So it's time for me to get moving again!

While my boy was down from his surgery, the kids were out of school, and then I was sick, my weight loss seriously slowed down. My eating was reasonable but my activity level dwindled down to almost nothing.

So this week I pledge to get my activity back up where it needs to be! Hopefully this amazing weather will hold and I can get some good outdoor time in. I had started week 1 of a c25k program right when I got sidelined by all this nastiness so this week I want to try that again! This cooler air plays havoc with my asthma but that's not going to go away so I can either continue to let it keep me down or I can give it my best regardless! And I'm tired of being down!

Of course, this week is my son's birthday and my ex is coming to visit for a few days but all that shouldn't get in my way... unless I let it. Heck, the ex might even want to run with me. He enjoys running on occasion. Maybe he can even give me some pointers about my stride. I'm not entirely excited about his visit and just trying to look at the bright side.

OK, I feel myself wanting to start whining so I'm just going to say goodnight now. I'm obviously grumpy and it would be best if I went to bed. Good night, all!
