"Turkey Neck"...any suggestions?

On the plus side, my double chins are not so double anymore emoticon

On the negative side, now I have this loose flesh kind of hanging there....we used to call it a "turkey neck"... emoticon ...not sure if that term is still used today emoticon

So any suggestions how to fix this...short of plastic surgery emoticon

    Guess its one of the things that goes with losing weight when we are older. I too have a similar situation. I do tend to hold my head up high whenever possible because I notice in the mirror that is a good way to get rid of quite a lot of flab. I also use a collagen cream which really does get rid of wrinkles on the face and neck. I was amazed at how good it is. Need to use it regularly though to get the full effect.

    Funny about the polo necks. I always loved them and still do. :)

    I do neck stretches to relieve stress--I have no idea if theyare supposed to--or can--make the neck more attractive. You might be able to Google it or do a Spark search on the topic.

    I saw your huddle that you are making progress--you've done an amazing job this year, Teresa! Please give yourself lots and lots of credit for all your achievements.

    Actually, you're already doing the right thing...V-neck blouse and pendant that hangs lower. My mother was a dress designer and she would often make jackets with contrasting lapels to take the eye away from the less-attractive neck. Or use a bright pin or necklace for the same effect.

    One of her pet peeves were turtlenecks or cowls. She said EVERYONE looked bad in them. In cold weather, tie on a bright scarf and as soon as you get inside, let the ends fall, creating a Y around your face.

    Act the part of a beautiful woman, and you are already there!

    When I was young - a million years ago and when my skin was still wrinkle-free - I read an article that said you should use the back of your hand and firmly pat the area. It also said to use a rolling pin - hard - on your abdomen to break up the fat there. And, you should make all kinds of faces - particularly smiles to exercise your facial muscles. I remember this because of the picture it made in my mind - grinning insanely while beating myself up in various ways! emoticon

    Sorry I don't have any real advice! Can't wait to read what others say emoticon
