Shared Food Tracker-Food for Thought

Friday, January 04, 2013

Ok-I'll be honest.I have been on the sparkpeople yoyo club for a few years now and have never had my tracker public. Why? I don't know. I suppose in some way I thought I might be judged for the choices I make(sometimes you can't afford to eat those veggies like you want!). But after careful consideration-I decided for my New Year's resolution to make my tracker a shared tracker. I figured, why not? Maybe it'll help someone who needs gluten free meal plans or help me in the long run when I get stuck in a rut. Moral of the story-IT HELPS YOU EAT BETTER! I find myself saying, now what would people on SP say if they say that I ate that? It's making me wiser about my choices and more self-conscious about my tracking. So thank you again Spark family for being there!

I've also been yo-yo-ing on sparkpeople for a pretty long time now, but I think I'm really starting to make some changes for good! Sharing the food tracker is a great thing because it makes you more accountable to and invested in the sparkpeople community. I also try to blog regularly. I often get good advice from people that way, or just simple encouragement. But beyond helping others, when you share the food tracker, people can help you too. When you're stuck in a rut, ask somebody on sparkpeople to look at your tracker. They may be able to look at it objectively and offer you a suggestion on how to change things up, so you can get back on track.

I was the same way! I came to the same conclusion too, hopefully you don't run into any judgement, I think a lot of the people here are supportive and understanding, happy new years!
