Our week 1 challenge is to Just Do it!!! I love the theme. The challenge runs from Friday until Monday. These challenges are good for keeping me focused on my goals. Sometimes I can talk myself out of doing so many things. Knowing that my team is counting on me and that I am counting on myself motivates me. There are four parts to the challenge.
1. D- Decide on something to tackle and then just do it. I made the decision to buy something for myself "guilt free". It is hard for me to buy something just for me. I have been saving to buy something just for me so this will me my weekend. (See what I picked below)
2. O- Oxygenate my body. I think I can meet this challenge I love cardio and we are encouraged to fit in at least 20 minutes each day.
3. I- Interact with my team and post something about myself. I have a great team of Crimson Butterflies that encourage and inspire me so that makes it easy. I look forward to posting each day.
4. T- Track my nutrition. Now here lies the true challenge for me. I tend to journal at the end of the day and sometimes forget what I have eaten. My tracking is done primarily in a journal so I don't really get the benefits of knowing all of the carbs, proteins, etc. about the foods that I am eating. I will work hard during this challenge to start tracking here on Spark. I know that having that information is vital to my success.
I am looking forward to earning challenge points this weekend and helping out my team.
Last night I didn't get to work out until 10p.m. but I was determined. Normally, I like to work out in the mornings so that I know that I have at least accomplished a goal for the day and then if I have energy in the evenings I may jump on my treadmill. Right in the middle of working out I heard one of my littles call out for me. She had a sick tummy so I had to stop and get her cleaned up and back to bed. I then pushed play and finished my workout. I hardly recognize the new me sometimes. How's that for just doing it?
Today the sleep deprivation caught up with me. I was back up around 6a.m. and managed to fit in a quick 30 min. workout. I think that I will finish up my week 6 C25K in the morning. The bed is calling me and I think I will oblige, LOL. Praying that no one gets sick tonight.
Here are some things that I have purchased for the challenge. Since I am a Crimson Butterfly I seem to see them everywhere. I have sort of compared my journey to that of a butterfly. I'm not sure of what stage that I am in but I feel that this will be my year. The robe is what I purchased as my "guilt free" item. It jumped out at me and it was on clearance so SCORE!!! I love it!
