At that crucial point docs warned me about
Monday, January 21, 2013
Well, it's 2 1/2 years after my sleeve and what doctors warned me about has finally begun. That "leveling out" point has come and I have put on 20 pounds. Docs told me that at 2 1/2 years to 3 1/2 hears most people begin to "level out" with their weight and if they are going to gain it back that's where it begins. What will dictate where I level out and set my body's comfort weight will be what I allow to happen in this time frame.
So, it seems life waited for this crucial time to begin a down pour of distractions. Along with school I went through a stalking (with many home break-ins involved), was in a car wreck through which I sustained a TBI, going through a multiple sclerosis diagnosis, and then moved (due to my husbands military orders) all within the last 6 months. With all this going on my exercise and food tracking habits all but disappeared.
Life seems to have settled now as I have finished school, settled into our new home, made peace with the diagnosis, healed well enough from the wreck that I can exercise, and am no longer being stalked. The exciting thing is that I now get to begin looking for a new job :) I will be doing my BEST to take off the 20 pounds that came along with chaos (plus an additional 10 to be at my goal) and get myself into a mindset that doesn't allow chaos to lay claim to my health and dedication.
Anyone with advice on how to overcome this hump of difficult and crucial timing please share your wisdom as it will be greatly appreciated.
P.S. If anybody knows of great gyms/workout groups near Fort Leonard Wood PLEASE comment with it ;)
