Two New Recipes Tried and Enjoyed

A challenge on the maintenance team asked us to try a new recipe and blog about it/review it. So I decided to try a Thai Peanut Broccoli Chicken Recipe that I found on allrecipes.com

This was my first time working with fresh ginger, but it was very inexpensive and I was able to grab a small piece at the grocery store. One of the members on the team recommended this youtube video on how to peel ginger, which worked very well.

The recipe was quite good and very easy to make. Broccoli had been on sale here, hence trying the recipe. I do recommend it and will be making it again sometime. My husband and son also liked it quite a bit. My husband commented that if he had that in a restaurant it wouldn't surprise him.
Then later in the week, I had some hot italian sausage to use and wanted to try and recreate a dish that my hubby has had in a restaurant and rather liked. So I went google searching and found this recipe for Roasted Sausage, potatoes and peppers.

This recipe was absolutely delicious and will be made again. We will be making it with a bit less olive oil, as the amount of juice it had in it, could have been a bit less with just as much flavor, I think. Oh, did I want to dip my bread into the juice, when I knew I had already over eaten. This may not be the most diet friendly of dishes, but oh, was it delicious. I may have to let you all know when I get it to the lowest amount of olive oil that is still absolutely delicious, because it will be made again.
Tonight I am making a dish somewhat similar to the italian sausage dish with ground beef and spiced differently from Joy of Cooking. May post later to let you all know what I think. Oh, and the recipe tonight will use more of that fresh ginger. :)
