A little sad over measurements

So I am starting a new challenge on Friday and I finally found my tape measure in the house last night. So this morning I decided to take my measurements. The last time I took them and put them into Spark was September 2011. I really let myself go since 2011. I am like 5 inches bigger in the hips, 3 or 4 in the thighs. UGHH! I can't believe in 15 months since my last measurements I degressed that far. But on the up note I know it can be lost again and I can be even smaller than September 2011. So on this 14 week challenge my goal is not just to lose pounds but to lose crazy inches.
This mornings workout was 30 minutes on teh bike and a 30 minute walk aerobic video. I have not done that video in a very long time but I wanted to switch it up this morning and try something different. Keep my body guessing what is going to happen next. ha ha! Tonight I have another toning video to do and hopefully I can get another small workout in as well.
Only 14 days until Valentines day and I want to be able to say I can see the difference since New Year. I would think with working out as much and as hard as I have I would see a bigger loss on the scale. I have discovered my love/hate relationship with the scale. I never knew how much what it says affects my mood. Sad but true. I try to be friends with it but it often does not want to be friendly. I just hope within the next 14 weeks it will love me along with my tape measure. ha ha!
I did not get my extra workout in last night as I ended up taking my children to a play date and I ended up just talking most of the night. I did however get in a great workout in the morning so I don't feel to bad about it. I am pushing myself now to workout almost an hour and a half a day. 30 minutes here, 30 minutes there, etc. I may not be on the biggest loser ranch working out 6 hours a day but I am trying for at least 350 minutes of cardio a week and 60 minutes of toning a week.
I am trying a new recipe for dinner tonight so hopefully it goes over well and the kids like it. Today for lunch I am actually going to go out. I have some errands to run on my lunch so I thought a 1/2 salad from Wendy's would be nice along with my left over squash from last night. I love Wendy's Pecan/Chicken salad. It is great! Though a 1/2 salad with dressing is over 300 calories, but worth every bite. ha ha
