I've been back on the site for 3 weeks trying to get used to tracking things again and using all of the great support to get back in a routine. What I'm finding is that it's easy to make better food choices. In these 3 weeks I've nearly eliminated all sodas (maybe have had 2), severely reduced the beers, and only remember one fast food trip. So I'm already making strides in that department but the exercising is at a dead stop. I've made plans to walk with my wife (she's in this with me too) so that we can both start getting used to it. This also helps with having that great family time with the kids. I've even said I would throw in a few runs too so I can get that back in my life. NONE of this has happened. There is always something coming up that makes the exercise difficult. Now having a 7 month old makes it extremely difficult to make the time but it doesn't make it IMPOSSIBLE. I need to force myself into making this time, even if it is 10 minutes a day (as The Spark book notes). So I'm at least trying. I WANT this and my wife WANTS it too. Our teamwork is what we're depending on so once it happens, we should push each other along the way.

Anyway if this mic is still on and I have old friends on here reading these, I hope you are doing well with your progress. Stick to them! If you have fallen like me, it's good to know that you have gotten right back up. Keep working hard and stay positive. That's what I'm planning on doing.

Lastly, I remembered that my biggest accomplishment along this weight loss/exercising journey was completing my half marathon. I remembered how great that felt and how it showed me that I can do anything I set my mind to. That was such a far off dream that I made a reality once I put my time and effort in. So I went back and read that post today ( www.sparkpeople.com/mypa
) and I was floored at the encouragement that were coming out of my mouth. I offer you all this, if you think that you can't do it again or there's no way for you to get back to where you were....go back and read some of YOUR OWN blogs. You may be surprised and impressed at what you achieved and how you felt during that time. It's just what you need to get back there.
