Week in Review - 2/10-2/17

Sunday, February 17, 2013

I would call this week pretty successful, up until Friday. Before I get to that, I am happy to have completed the first 4 days of INSANITY - from Monday through Thursday. I also did cardio workouts at the gym on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. On Tuesday, I also met with my trainer. And then on Thursday, I got roped in to a RIDICULOUS but very fun cardio set, which included 2 hours of zumba/cardio dance workouts followed by an hour of boot camp. I had so much fun, and it was so exhausting. So I'm happy with my workouts.

Then, Thursday night, I could not sleep. Or at least well. Even after more than 3 hours of working out (INSANITY included), I couldn't get more than hour of sleep without waking up. Most of the night, I was in bed staring at the ceiling. I've never had this problem before. So on Friday, I was too tired to even think of working out. So I had spent the day trying to focus on my work. Then, on Friday night, the same thing happened. I could not sleep. I was so frustrated. I spent most of the day on my couch trying to relax, except for when I went to dinner with a friend. So, as these things happen, my eating choices weren't as great either. So I may have had more of a loss if I hadn't went a little crazy yesterday and Friday...

Nevertheless, I'm down 2 pounds from last week and 0.5 from my waist. So I call that a success. This week, I'm not sure what my progress will look like. I am heading to my sister's home (out of state) to help her take care of my nephew this week. I don't know where I will be able to squeeze in my workouts quite yet. But I'll be tracking my food so I hope that helps. And I'm sure caring for my active 11 week old nephew will help me burn some calories. I'll be wearing my BodyMedia Fit (which I LOVE by the way) so I'll see if there is any truth to that theory.

Now, on to pictures.

Being tired always makes me SO hungry, so my eating usually goes completely nuts. Maybe one day we'll be able to eat normally even when exhausted...
