Lessen symptoms of eyestrain by giving yourself a 1-minute eyelid massage
How to do it
Close your eyes. Using the index and middle fingers of both hands, gently massage your upper eyelids against your brow bones for 10 seconds. Next, use the same fingers to massage your lower eyelids against the lower bones for 10 seconds. Finish by massaging the areas at the outside of each eye, in front of the temples.
Why it matters
Our eyes are busy! Between working at a computer, reading, or doing crafts or close work, it's not hard for them to develop eyestrain and muscle tension. Massaging the muscles around the eye can help provide some relief from sore muscles. Bonus: Taking a moment to relax and focus on yourself is good for your well-being.
