It has been a while!

Well I have been MIA for a while and figured it was time to hop back on and get my life on track! We were without technology for a while and in that time I did really good maintaining where I was but not losing. I am now back on Spark and ready to make some huge changes in my weight!

I am planning on doing the Advocare 24 day challenge! I have a friend helping me out to support that has just done this. She hast lost 12 pounds and about 15 inches in 3 weeks, along with that she went from a size 22/24 down to a size 16/18. I am so proud of her. She used to drink so much diet Coke and eat at McDonald's quite a bit for lunch. I know cutting those two things out are contributing a lot to her success but she also feels healthier! She has energy.

Along with doing the challenge I have already joined a gym. Of course, go figure, I got sick my 3rd day in.lol I haven't given up but am trying to get passed the coughing so hard I pee my pants cough before I go back.lol I am not going to wait till I am 100% but will take it easy when I go back and work my way up to weight loss speeds and times again. I will just be happy to be working out again very soon! We will see what tonight brings for me and maybe tonight will be my night back!

The year 2013 is going to be my year! I know I can succeed and I will! I have so much more support besides Spark now that I know it is the push I needed to keep going! I have real "live" friends to support me along with all my spark friends!

I am psyched about my life changes. I went to the doctor not so long ago and found out my cholesterol and triglycerides are higher than they would like to see. It is the push I needed to really start changing my eating habits and making sure I get my fitness in throughout the day. I know these changes will make a difference when I go back in August to get a recheck.

I can't wait to let you all see my successes! I am going to have my hubby take before and after pics of the 24 day challenge! I will post them when I am done with the challenge. I have never posted before or after pics before so it will be a HUGE step for me!

    Nikki, I am so proud of you for taking these positive steps to get to where you want to be! You're right...2013 is the year for you! And me, too! I just know it. We are going to work hard, right? Just remember, slow and steady wins the race. (That's what I've heard, LOL!) Looking forward to those before and after photos! emoticon

    It sounds like you have a great plan in place. And I love that your girls are eating more veggies with you. And they'll get in the habit of exercising with you too, whether it's walking or just dancing in the living room. We can do this!!!

    Gym germs ARE STRONG. So many people got sick during the winter...
    Make sure you use the hand sanitizer...or bring your own and after you exit...USE IT.
    You can do it...no matter how long its been...how long it takes YOU'RE WORTH IT...NEVER GIVE UP.
    Take it one day at a time.
    Go into it WITH A daily/weekly PLAN/GOALS. THAT really helps.
    Don't spend any time feeling guilty...or mad at yourself for any reason. It is simply A WASTE of your time.

    You Can Do It!! You have the right attitude and motivation, you can do anything you put your mind to!! My favorite quote is still "Wether you think you can or you think you can't, your right" Posting your before and after pictures is a huge and important step, you have no idea how much my before and after pictures and pictures along the way mean to me because as your going along, you don't see the changes everyday until you look at those pictures and can look and "see" what everyone else sees, good and bad. You won't beleive your eyes when all that hard work starts showing up!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Welcome back! I am back, as of today, too! I still had 10 lbs of "fluff" from baby #3, and now #4 is brewing! (17.5 weeks) Not dieting, but calorie counting to make sure I stay within my goals. I have been doing good maintaining my weight just by eating to hunger since my LO was 4 months old, but didn't lose any in the last 16 months... I have been doing decent with pregnancy weight gain, but in the past 3 weeks, I have gained 4 lbs... SO, I need to make myself accountable. :) It's supposed to be .5 a pound a week at this point, and I have been STARRRVING around 4-6 am every morning, so I need to plan more, rather than get up and grab whatever is easiest to eat... I am using the food tracker to make sure I am getting enough protein & fat... when I don't get enough of those, I find myself gaining weight and eating with wild abandon. emoticon Anyway, just wanted to say welcome back & good luck! emoticon

    emoticon Get well soon. I'm sure the gym goers appreciate your not coming with your cold but I hope it passes soon. The more you surround yourself with Sparkers -- live or virtual -- the better it will be.
