It's been a week

Thursday, February 28, 2013

It's been a week since I started doing sparkpeople again. I tracked my food and workouts and stayed within my calorie budget, and today, the scale showed I'd gained almost a pound. I feel better and thinner, so I'm trying not to be annoyed. I need to look at what kinds of foods I'm eating and see where I can do better. I'm happy that I squeezed in workouts even when I was tired and stressed out.

I also need to start tracking measurements more consistently as I think that is a better measure of progress than the scale.

It's just so hard not to compare myself to others and what I think I should weigh, which I honestly have no idea!

Give your body time to adjust and get started! If you make the right choices the result will come. Just keep going. I think like Suziqzer - look out for the other signs: How are your feeling, sleeping, how are your cloths fitting, what are your measurements... all this counts.
About the question what one should weight... that's a tough one, but I am sure you will find it out.

The scale is only ONE way of tracking success... and it doesn't always show true progress. Did you take measurements? Do you FEEL better?

I've been on one looooooong plateau, but lately I think things are perking up. My skin cleared, I feel rested, and my waist is smaller. But I'm still at the exact same weight.

So we'll keep plugging away, and eventually the scale will move again. But no stressing about it!!!
