Coffee plan

Yesterday I sat down with my usual mug of coffee to think about how to cut down on coffee. I quit smoking cold turkey so maybe that will work with this problem too. I have my own coffee maker at work because I don't like the coffee at our office coffee area. So I went out and bought an electric water kettle for my office and a box of green tea yesterday to bring to work tomorrow. My plan will be to gradually substitute green tea and plain delicious water for several of my mugs of coffee. I hope that going down to only one cup eventually will work.
Today being Sunday the coffee issue is different so I just made two cups of coffee instead of my usual full pot and then got out of the kitchen. I plan to go out to the local high school to use their track to find out how fast I can walk now. Last year I was doing 18 minute miles which is in the fair range for my age. I know I've improved this year so I'm going to find out by how much. I'm bringing a bottle of water and tylenol to deal with withdrawal headache I know I will get for having less caffeine today. Wish me luck!
I love the taste of green tea and I don't have to put anything in it. I love to drink something warm in the morning and I'm sure that contributes to my need to drink coffee so I hope that green tea will do it for me.
