Today I am counting my blessings. I am not going to complain or whine in this blog!!
I am so thankful for finding Spark People when I did! I started tracking my food intake at the Diabetes Prevention Program and someone mentioned the website. I wanted to be able to track my food on the go, as I was very busy then and it was a pain to write it down every time I ate.

That is how I discovered SP. I am so thankful. That was in 2011. April of 2011 found me going to my nieces to help with her 4 beautiful children.

Logan, Taylor, Addie and Ella were so much fun.
I cooked quite a bit while I was there and made things lower calorie than Nicole would. Her children need a little fat in their diets and especially Ella.

I put all the recipes in the recipe calculator and knew exactly how many calories and fat were in them. It really helped to track those recipes!
I am pleased to say that I lost weight on that trip. I spent a month in Idaho with Nicole. It was great fun!! I really enjoyed myself and had fun with the kids!!

I also figured out you can enjoy your food by remaking recipes!!
My success continued when I arrived home after a quick stop in Bozeman, Montana. My niece Nadeen lives there with her two boys. Kaden and Shaye were glad to see me.

We had fun together.
Then I headed the 2 hours to home. I was tired and Snickers was glad to be out of the car and home. He had spent a whole month with me in Idaho at Nicole's. He was a big hit with the kids in Idaho and Bozeman! Ella really liked him.
When I arrived home from my trip I started water aerobics again. I had really missed swimming. I was good about going 3 times a week. I even worked out on the recumbent bicycle.

And did strength training on the Nu-Step machine.
That was 67 pounds ago. The rest is a journey through time. It is in my blogs. Feel free to read all about it! They are not always just about nutrition and exercise. There is a fair amount about what I deal with on a daily basis. My mood disorder and my ups and downs. They all lead to now and how well I am doing on my journey to health and wellness.
I hope you have enjoyed my blog about finding Spark People! It truly was a great discovery!!
