LIVING THE GOOD LIFE DAY 5

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

What can I improve upon? Well, for one I need to reduce my intake of diet coke along with my clean eating. I drink entirely too much and I know it is not good for me so that is a habit that I am working on. I have done it before, gave it up for one year but went back so I am cutting way back. To me you really can only handle one or two changes at a time. There is no use writing a list of ten things you want to improve upon. It is just not going to work. One or two at a time is manageble. Much success to my fellow shooting stars. We will do this one day at a time. emoticon

What (finally!) worked for me was to realise how bad diet coke was for me... completely chemical. Now I have tea instead. You are completely right that we cannot do all changes at once though.
Good luck, it is tough but you can do it!

Try chilling a bottle of water in the fridge of how much water you want to drink BEFORE you are allowed anything else.

    Works great for me.

Great goal. You are right - if you completely ban anything then you are much more likely to go back and binge on it when you're feeling low. emoticon

I think your goal is a great one. I used to live on soda and coffee and over the last 2 years it is water and herbal tea for me now. Craved a soda a few weeks ago and ended up throwing it away as it tasted so bad to me Now I crave my water and teas - I'm always trying different flavors. Good luck to you and to may our stars continue to shine bright!!!

So true!!!! Just taking one or two manageable changes at a time and working on those each and everyday will help you reach your goals faster than trying to make all the changes at once.

I find that any improvements done ONE DAY AT A TIME work better than setting difficult long term goals. emoticon

You are spot on with concentrating on one or two things at a time. I find if I try to do more, I become overwhelmed and end up not making much headway if any. Good luck with "kicking the can", June! emoticon
