Changing my workout routine

I've been doing pretty well with my daily walking. It's been three months. Sometimes it can make things a little more interesting to add a little variety to the workout time. Swimming is a nice possibility. There's a pool nearby and it would be great to exercise those arms and so many other muscles too. Another easy change is to watch a video right here on spark people. They 're fun. Then I could get really brave and join a Zumba class. Spring is right around the corner and just like the chick hatching out of its egg, I will be doing a new chicken dance!!!

    Its always a good idea to change up your routine because your body gets used to the same old, same old. Swimming is a great workout...I wish I had access to a pool, I'd be there every day!

    I vote for the pool and Zumba. I've taken an aqua zumba class. They can't see how uncoordinated I am there, cause everyone looks uncoordinated trying to keep up with the instructor who isn't weighed down by the water.

    One of my other spark friends suggested the video Zumba Gold for babyboomers- I am going to get that to prepare before I go to a class in person.

    I had a couple of friends that took up swimming and love it. One had back problems and the other had joint issues that kept them not very active. It has made a world of difference in both of them, lowered BP and took away back pain.
    Now Zumba make sure it is a class that fits your work out level. I have know thin fit looking 20 year olds that sprung things doing it but also know 70 year olds in classes that did just fine. All loved it too. Spring out and have some fun. emoticon
