The Magic of Music

It's amazing to me how powerful music can be. It can soothe you when you're feeling low. It can motivate you when you need that little boost. Yesterday my legs were feeling tight and my arthritis in my feet was hurting and I really wondered if I were up to a fast walk. I thought I'd try it anyway and just stop if it got too bad. I turned on my mp3 player and lo and behold the music was little slower than it had been the rest of the week. It was enough that I could finish my walk. Another time I had been overly ambitious and when I got to the end of the long long walk, I really didn't know if I had enough strength to make it to my car. At that moment, Kelly Clarkson's Stronger came on and it gave me enough boost to push me to my car.

I'll just have to remember from now on when I don't feel like moving to turn on the music!

    I know what you mean, because when I plug into my iPod and listen to my workout music, it really energizes me, some songs it can too much, then I have to remind myself that my knees will talk back to me if I get too aggressive with my walk. Keep up the good fight!
