Envisioning myself in the future

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

As I plan to clean up some old golf clubs to hit the golf course this spring , I know this dreary snowy winter will all be in the past soon. But I also think even further ahead than just a couple of months. Continuing my weight loss and healthy habits, I can see a slender and agile older woman happily enjoying the fun things life has to offer. I haven't golfed for many, many years but I will in a couple of months. Thinking to years ahead, I will Tay active and enjoy fun times. Being sure that my weight is an appropriate one will allow me to enjoy these fun physical activities for years to come. I will have friends as well .....friends which had diminished in number with the weight gain of years back. My clothes will be colorful and I will laugh and enjoy my female friends. There's nothing wrong with having male friends either:) Healthy lunches out with these friends will be focused on the company rather than the food. In years to come, I will enjoy a physically active life and the misery of being lonely, overweight and unhappy, will be a thing of the past!

I am excited for you just reading about it- that's what I want as I get older to- not to be the fat old lady in the chair who can't move. emoticon emoticon

What you can envision, you can achieve. God doesn't allow us to dream without a possibility of fulfillment.

I've often heard it said that the more clearly and vividly we can envision an end goal or state, the more likely it is we'll be able to bring our behavior in line with achieving it. And you sound like you are crystal clear in your vision of yourself on that golf course, enjoying not only the challenging sport itself (my husband's a HUGE fan, and I can see why - what amazing skill it requires!!) but the lively company of your fellow golfers and even the distinctive, bright clothing! emoticon So here's to a warm and enjoyable future on the greens - fore!!!

Great Vision! I haven't golfed in years and I know that is partly because of my weight. The desire to have fun and enjoy your life is strong motivation to get fit and trim! Thank you for the reminder! Good for you!

emoticon Know I don't know how old you are so please don't take this wrong but did you ever think of checking out senior center. A friend and I wanted to learn to line dance and she saw some thing about it in the paper. At the time I was in my forties
but they were so happy to have us come. They told me that no one checks ages but my name was important to be on the list. Plus I gave them a few extra dollars and they loved my energy. They have some classes that are perfect for those just getting back into moving around and those that still have alot of get up and go. Plus they have the time to be social. Keep your vision and focus. emoticon emoticon
