Candy, Wine, Scenery Day 3

I started out my day with a trip to the Margaret River Chocolate Factory. Need I say more? They had every kind of chocolate imaginable. I did mostly stick with dark chocolate nut clusters, but I had to try a few dark chocolate creams also.
From there I headed to the Mondo Nougat Factory. I was thrilled to learn that the nougat is gluten free so that I could have it. There were so many choices that it was impossible to choose only one. I had to make up my own sampler pack: lemon, apricot, orange, cherry, vanilla soft, vanilla crunchy, chocolate, cranberry & pistachio, and honey & macadamia. I also came away with a jar of creme de nougat which you can put on anything and make it better. Enough with the candy.
It is time to head off to the Houghton Winery, which is set in beautiful rolling hills accentuated with tons of pretty flowers. I am not much of a drinker, but I did try a blush and a white wine. After checking out the vineyards it was time to head on to my next destination.
Swan Valley is in a fabulous park like setting with lots of walking trails. While others were tasting more wine I decided to take a camel ride. I have always wanted to go to Egypt and ride a camel, but was afraid to go because of the unrest over there so when I saw the camels I knew this was my chance.
Finally, I was off to the Chittering Valley for a tranquil walk along the river and a chance to photograph the amazing wildflowers. About now I started to get a migraine which I think was from the wine tasting earlier. That is why I don't drink. So it was back to the hotel and to bed for about 4 hours while I waited for my headache to let up.
Once I was feeling better, it was off to dinner. I had the grilled lamb chops, glazed carrots, and salad. No dessert after all the candy this morning.
