A beautiful morning......and scale stepups....

I love Saturday mornings when my hubby is working night shift. I know he will come home with an egg sandwich made to order by the little food trailer he passes on his way home. And a tall cup of milk coffee. And he brings it right to my bed. So I usually wake up early on Saturdays and get online, play around, watch a little show or two and just wait. Today since my Traveler friends inspired me to get back into working out and I have actually put in more workout time than I was able to since the beginning of the challenge, I stepped on the scale early. I didn't like what I saw so I went back to bed. After a few hours, feeding the dogs and doing some training on in the living room with them, I stepped on the scale again and was down 2 pounds. I think without my glasses I might have misread the numbers the first time. I wonder if other people play that game too? We are so hung up on numbers.... so then I decided to give a little list of improvements I had this week.
What I am proud of today:
- adding more fiber to my foods last week in the form of fruits, whole grains, avocado and nutty snacks.
- downloading the SparkPeople Nutrition tracker and using it increasingly
- finding SportSkool on my On Demand Cable channel and trying out different workouts, one even a 50 minute long gentle walking video, and strengthening Pilates videos. I feel great and can feel my muscles again, and my back pain when waking up is gone.
- forgiving myself for questionable choices and patting myself on the back for the good stuff
