OMG LEMON LUSH!

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

Ok guys, I really reallly like lemon anything but my favorite is lemon lush. You know the shortbread crust with the cream cheese center with the lushy lemon topping? Well you need to try this if you like lemons and sweets, it is heavenly.

Ingredients:
ONE BLOCK FF CREAM CHEESE
TWO CUPS PLAIN FF GREEK YOGURT ( I used Chobani)
TWO TSP LEMON EXTRACT
TWO TBS TRUVIA (takes this much to offset the sour)
TWO OR THREE DROPS OF LEMON FOOD COLORING (pretty visual)

PUT ALL INGREDIENTS IN FOOD PROCESSOR (I have a ninja) AND PULVERIZE THE MESS OUT OF IT AND YOUR DONE!

Would be wonderful for snack with fresh diced strawberries on top

Nets 3 cups of goodness

I did the nutritional info for half a cup per serving, it is rich enough that one half cup will satisfy you, if not have another half cup. You be the judge.

Nutritional info for one half cup:
Calories............87
carbs..................7
proteins...........13
sodium..........300
fat..............ZERO! YA!

I have entered this in the food tracker under "Lori's Lemon Lush"

emoticon ENJOY!

FF cream cheese is allowed as a condiment in all cycles. This recipe has a 1.5 oz per serving which is more than allowed. It is low in calories but the only problem is the sodium content. If you drink a lot of water it should be ok. You could always make it with half the cream cheese and be "legal" but the consistancy will be alittle soupier.

I am currently on R1C2D9 which is day 26
I am no expert by any means but I would think the zest would be ok

Is fat free cream cheese allowed for the first phase? I see you are on day 39 and I love lemons. I have lemon zest in my frig right now, would that be okay to add it too? Just new to this plan and really trying to stick to it!!
