Those Stairs!
Saturday, April 20, 2013
Yesterday was a serious wake up call!
It is a few minutes walk from my office to the train station. I have 3 flights of stairs to climb to reach the platform for my train.
As I climbed the second flight, I heard a train pull in to the platform. Instinctively I knew it was my train. My legs were feeling heavy on the third flight, and as I approached the top of the stairs, I felt frustrated to see the doors of the train close and knew I couldn't make that dash for the train.
Just 3 flights of stairs and I am pooped! My colleague (SAS) was on the platform waiting for me to get on the train - she did not board even though she was running late
While sparking this morning, I stumbled on someones page and read.... If you are wanting results and looking at change, you won't find it. If you are wanting to change and looking for results you will find it.
This is what I dwell on, yet I'm not helping myself
Today is a beautiful sunny day and I woke up with an eagerness to get things done and make the most of the day!
Nothing is too great to overcome - my challenge is to get up those stairs quicker and make that dash for the train.
I need to set a realistic challenge which I know is within my grasp and not impossible to achieve.
This has me thinking back to when I first started on Sparks and tentatively wrote a few blogs not knowing if anyone would drop by or leave a message.. They did and I'm pleased to say we are still in contact and I'm grateful for their ongoing support.
Time to paddle mainstream and reap the rewards.
From the ashes of disaster grow the roses of success -do you remember the film?
