A walk under cloudy skies...

Sunday, April 28, 2013

is still a walk. I went faster today and it felt great. It is cloudy, but very nice. The temperature is 58 degrees. Not sure if it will warm up much more as we are expecting rain. I love morning walks when it is quiet and the birds are singing. I didn't play any music on my phone this morning. I just enjoyed the nature in my neighborhood. The grass is getting green emoticon and it finally feels like spring. I can see some mountains out my front window and they still have some snow on them. emoticon I am not at all sure which mountains they are, but they are south of me. (Which doesn't tell you anything, unless you know where I live!! Sorry. It is the best I can do.)

The police are already out doing their appointed rounds. I just walked by the Fireside Bowling Alley and there were 4 policemen and 1 policewomen surrounding a guy. I wondered if I should walk by and did when the female police officer waved me on. I had no desire to stay to see what was about to happen. emoticon I try to keep clear when I see trouble. Even with the police on the scene. One never knows what the person was stopped for or did. There were no lights flashing. It was just very quiet.

I am going to shower and prepare my lesson for primary. It is an easy lesson as I teach the 8 & 9 year old children. I just have to find a way to add some fun activities into their lesson or they get bored and start acting up! I only have 4 children, so not the biggest class I have ever taught. My largest was 9 and the biggest problem I had with them was the boys would talk during class to the boys and the girls to the girls. I couldn't get them to be quiet, so I made them sit boy, girl, boy, girl. That was the trick!! And I was teaching them alone. Now we have a co-teacher in case one of us is unable to attend for any reason. We also have subs if we need one, but usually we don't. I like teaching the children, because I learn so much when I teach. emoticon

Well, I could just ramble on as I am in one of those moods!! I feel good and got enough sleep, no thanks to Snickers. I had to shut him out of the bedroom again last night. I don't know what time it was when I closed the door. I do know he stuck his paw in the door and jumped on the bed at 5 am. Guess that is one thing I dislike about daylight savings time!! Snickers wants to get up everyday at 5 am and he wants me up with him.
He is so spoiled. Then he just goes back to sleep in the living room and I am up for the day!! Go figure!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I weighed in today and have lost more weight. Not a bunch. As a maker of fact less than a pound, but I still lost. If I had slept a little longer it might have been more. Sleep makes so much difference in my weight. If I don't get 8 or 9 hours of sleep...I don't lose any weight. I try to get that much sleep at least 5 days a week. That is my goal. Of course 7 would be optimum, but insomnia and early waking is often a problem for me.

Well, guess I will say good bye for now. Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

The mountains are probably the Beartooths or Pryors. Those are the ranges near Red Lodge, which should be to the south-southwest of you.

The Bighorns would be to the south-southeast, but are not nearly as prominent.

I hope you had a good Sunday.

Don't be too hard on Snickers.

Don't get blown away walking! Holy cow the wind! But good for you getting out!

Actually I love the long days in the summer but I don't get near as much sleep because it starts getting light so early! I was up going to the bathroom (drinking my water emoticon ) and it already starting to lighten up just a bit.

    Have a wonderful day!

I miss the mountains. You are right -- a walk on a cloudy day is still a walk and under mt skies, any day is a good day. Keep up the journey.
