Starting My 90 Makeover

Monday, May 13, 2013

I am going to post my journey toward fitness over the next 90 days. Come experience it with me. I have joined a gym, then been told by my doctor to severely limit my activity. But, I can still do the water aerobics and the treadmill. I can do the strength training but with less weight.

The main improvement I need to make is my diet. I intend to closely follow, and track, the Spark Solution for the next 2 weeks to get "in the gear." I will post every day here, as a sort of a journal, one of the recommendations. I will post it ALL - including my weight and measurements. UGH!!

Today I had a major sugar low and ate way too much of a sweet dessert to bring it back up. I had no glucose tablets or candy handy. Then, since it would drop again, I went by McDonald's and had a sausage/biscuit. But, in tracking, if I am careful with lunch and dinner, I will not go over my total for the day. I am going to try hard to do that. I will report tomorrow about how I did.

I now weigh 224 pounds, and plan to be at 188-190 by August 13th. It is exciting to think that if I am careful, I can get below 200. I have not weighed 188 in about 10+ years. Yay!! Here I go!

Thanks for the encouragement. I am making the forms for the recording of the foods and exercise that are in the book. I am going to print them out and put them in a notebook. I am adding some space for journaling and will be listing my foods on SparkPeople. I will print that out as well and keep in my notebook. That will let me know exactly what and I doing and what works.
