A cloudy walk beats no walk at all!

It was cloudy this morning when I went for a walk. When they are forecasting rain I try to take my walks as early as possible. It was cloudy, but a good temperature about 50 degrees. I actually didn't need a hoodie today except to carry my dvd player. I listened to one of my favorite audio books. It had me laughing the whole walk.

I have been really tired in the morning the last 3 days. Not sure if it is because of taking my medication later at night or the dreary weather?? Anyway, a nap usually solves it. I went to my friends and we grilled smoked sausages. She and her husband have been my friends for over 29 years. Wow! That is a long time to be friends. We have been through so much together. The ups and downs that all friends go through. The ups and downs of my marriage and hers. My divorce. Her separations. Now they have a beautiful condo and Scott has stopped drinking. She is working again and loving it. She works in a clothing store and rarely brings home a pay check. She just buys new clothes. Well, that is a good thing for her. She likes to look nice!

Memorial Day is a day to celebrate veterans and loved ones that have gone before us. I live down from a cemetery and I heard and saw the guys in kilts with bag pipes lining up for the ceremony at the cemetery today. They sounded so good! I kinda wish I had walked down to the cemetery and watched the ceremony. Well at least I did get to enjoy the bagpipes playing.

I hope everyone had a great 3 day weekend. At least those of us in the United States. I am not sure if they celebrate Memorial Day other places. Chime in and let me know if you do or have a similar holiday were you celebrate your troops!!
