Another Piece of the Puzzle

This past month has been a bit of a roller coaster ride. I started a new job, have welcomed new and old residents into my home and have been provided another piece of the puzzle in my quest for why I am always so exhausted and can not seem to lose weight.
When I heard back from my Endocrinologist I was told that m thyroid was exactly in the range it needs t be but that I have Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D deficiencies. After speaking with my best friend, who happens to be a nurse, I wasn't that alarmed. It seems that these deficiencies are very common and tend to go undiagnosed. Then I met with my Endo, and found out that my situation was definitely not common. The normal range for Vitamin B12 when tested is 250-1000. Anything under 450 is actually considered low and needs to be treated. My level was, drumroll please...96. My DH called me an underachiever. My doctor and her nurses were amazed that I am able to function at all. So I have started a series of weekly B12 injections and a taking 100 mg a day in hopes of raising my level. So far I have not noticed much of a difference, but we'll see.
As for the Vitamin D deficiency, she suggested that I take 2000 units a day. She was shocked when I told her that I have been doing that for over a year. So now I take 4000 units a day. She also warned that because my levels of these essential vitamins are so low that I am facing the constant risk of illness, exhaustion and of my EBV kicking in. So I was told that I could do nothing but go to work (desk job) and rest for the next month. No cardio, nothing strenuous and lots of sleep until I have finished this round of injections and have my levels retested.
We traveled back to WV over Memorial Day weekend. While DH started remodeling a room in my bestie's farmhouse, I sat around most of the weekend. We did go out with friends one night and had a group of friends over for a cookout the next. I really did very little except sit all weekend. I didn't feel well on Monday when we got up to leave, and by Tuesday morning I was miserable. I managed to come down with Bronchitis just from the little bit of overexertion the weekend caused. My immune system must be almost non-existent!
So I have spent this weekend doing pretty much nothing and plan on spending the rest of the week doing the same. In two weeks we are leaving for NC for the beach for a week with my bestie's family. I just want to feel well enough to enjoy my vacation and not ruin everyone else's because I am too exhausted or for fear of over doing it and getting sick. Hopefully the shots will have helped by then.
