Great Healthy Day

Today was a great day! It was a perfect balance of eating right and exercising! I started out helping to build our new fence - my arms are sore. It should probably count as strength training! I also did steps on the Wii for an hour but it had been so long since I had last done them that I couldn't use my taller board! I'll have to work back up to that. I hit 15,000 steps again.
And did 10 flights of stairs. I more than covered my fruit and veggie servings. I ended at around 8! We were so excited to finally have cucumbers from our garden that everyone was fighting over them! My husband and I shared the squash. I haven't found a way to cook the squash that the kids really like yet and I like it every way! I also had tomatoes with basil and cheese while I was getting dinner ready. (I was starving!) I started out with my best and favorite breakfast - oatmeal with strawberries and blueberries. I love it because it gets me started on my fruits/veggies for the day plus helps me to feel full for a while.
I had my favorite fruit, veggie and nutella shake for lunch. I always have to make extra for DD now. She loves it also and she especially loves that she is eating a whole carrot without even tasting it. Here is what I use for one. I need to add it to the recipe thing but just have not done it yet.
1 peeled carrot - Use the peeler to continue to peel the whole carrot into the blender
8-10 strawberries - I like to use frozen strawberries, slightly defrosted because they amke the whole thing very cold!
1/2 C 2% Milk
1-2 tsp sugar ( I think its fine without but DH and DD like it better with)
1-2 TBSP unsweetened baking Cocoa
You could stop right here and it would taste pretty good BUT, if you add 2 TBSP of Nutella it becomes PERFECT!!
I wonder if I can hit 6 fruits/veggie again tomorrow? It's certainly worth a try!
