Reviewing my goals for 2013

Monday, June 03, 2013

I was looking back over the goals I had posted at the beginning of the year. Doing good on some, not so good on others. Trying to move more. I joined LA Fitness last night and tried to do Zumba today. I almost passed out. I seriously thought I was going to. I got so light headed. I stopped and drank some water, rested a minute and then started again. Lasted another 10 minutes but stopped when I got too dizzy again. I thought it was my blood sugar since I hadn't eaten but my blood sugar was HIGH not low! WTH?
I have cut back on Coke but not as much as I would like. Chris isn't much help with that one. He's always like, "It's okay if you just SHARE one with me". and then 3 Cokes later... Ugh.
I have been making better choices with food though. I've really been making an effort to cut back on meat and on sugar. Now if I can cut back on bread...That's a whole other story.lol I am eating a ton of veggies. That's not hard at all since I LOVE veggies! I'd rather have veggies than dessert most of the time. (I know, I'm weird.lol)
I'm adding a recent picture of me while I'm thinking about it. This was last weekend at my Great Nephew's 4th birthday. The picture is me playing with my other Great Nephew who is almost 1. I am so in love with him. He's making me want a grandbaby so bad!
Well, I guess that's about it for now. I know there was more I wanted to say but my mind has gone blank. Of course, as soon as I hit "Post Blog Entry", all these things will jump in my mind to say.lol I need to start keeping a notebook with me to jot down the things I think of when I'm not on here.

Passing out and feeling dizzy when exercising happen to me when the room is too hot, or I am tired and lack of sleep, or because of my thyroid, or a combination of factors. Hope you can indendify what triggered it and prevent it in future.

Despite this scary event, how did you like your Zumba class?

Good luck on cutting back on coke! emoticon
