Re-Discovering An Old Favorite

Many years ago, about four I think, I bought a couple of Biggest Loser workout videos. One is a Cardio and the other is Yoga. They are both great but I had not used them in several years. I pulled out my yoga video since today is a strength training day and I am so glad I did. I had forgotten how tough those workouts could be! My arms and legs were shaking and I am sweating! I did two workouts for a total of 35 minutes and I can already feel that I am going to be sore this afternoon. This video is definitely staying out to be added a few times a week, maybe as an evening workout. I also have a Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown video that is pretty tough.
While I was going through my video cabinet to find the video I wanted, I also found a couple of Dancing with the Stars workout videos. I think I only used them once or twice but since I did not know the moves I wasn't getting much of a workout. These may be great afternoon or weekend workouts with my girls. I think they would love them and I can always jump on the treadmill afterward if I am not getting enough of a workout. I may be able to piece together enough between what I have and what I can get on SparkPeople and other places online that I may not have to buy anything. I just need to push myself to work hard and give every workout my all.
Yesterday, I was asked what my plan was when the blues come after me. This is something that I really struggle with. It is so easy to just lay in bed and not exercise which often leads to a downward spiral of eating junk and not taking care of myself. My blues plan is to exercise. When I exercise I feel better, even if it is just going for a walk. So when I want to lay in bed and sleep, I will make myself get up and do my planned workout. Once I get started I will feel better. My blues plan for eating is to log everything before I eat it. It will motivate me to eat healthier because I will see the calories and fat before I put it in my mouth. Although I have a weekly plan, I am going to really focus on one day at a time. Each day focusing only on what I am doing that day. Follow the exercise plan and menu that I have for that day and not worry about what will happen tomorrow.
