Faux Apple Crisp

This is something I came up with this morning and I am sure it is floating out there some place else also in books or on the net.

I call it a

Faux Apple Crisp

Applesauce and Granola and Cinnamon are the only three ingredients.

After baking one day I had some of my homemade canned applesauce left sitting in the fridge. I kept looking at it not knowing if I should just eat it out of the jar or find another recipe. The canning is done in pint size jars so there is no waste from not getting it eaten. I prefer to have the crunch of a whole apple when I want apple.

So this morning, I thought instead of my non-dairy milk why not try the applesauce. Can you say fantastic.

Just use your favorite granola. Kashi is a good place to start if your are wanting to be on the more healthful side.

You don't need me to measure out how much you want to enjoy but I used about 1/2 cup plain applesauce, 1/4 cup granola, and 1/4 t. cinnamon.

This tasted just like a baked apple crisp without all the work.

So go enjoy this great dish as breakfast or dessert. I would even serve this to guests in cute goblets. And if I weren't vegan, I would probably add a little whipped cream.
