6/4/13 Excuse Busters

Today on Spark Coach the challenge is to bust your excuses with positive affirmations and mantras. The mantra I use the most is at the end of many of my blogs. (Do you think I can think of it now!!?!) I also like positive affirmations. I try to use them daily.
Negative self talk does sneak in to my mind on occasion. I really try to fight the negative self talk and thoughts. Sometimes just clearing my mind with a nice long walk helps.
I visited a friend in the hospital today and used the walk from the parking lot and around the outside of the hospital as a good way to exercise. I also took 5 flights of stairs. My knees were a little sore as yesterday I wogged (thanks Carrie for this word) a little and took 10 flights of stairs. Anyway, I don't want to do too much, so my knees get worse. Especially the one that hasn't been operated on yet. (Which I hope doesn't happen for a long time!) They are much better since I have lost 90 pounds since 2010. It doesn't show that much on my tracker, but that is because I didn't join SP until February 24, 2011.
I am having a massage today. I really need it. My muscles are really sore from all the exercise I got yesterday and the stairs I took yesterday and today. I went to Walmart this morning and shopped, so did a little walking there, too. I don't go as fast as when I walk outdoors, but it is NEAT exercise as Coach Nicole would say.
So I am challenging myself to bust excuses to exercise or eat healthy right now. I am going to have a healthy lunch and sit and enjoy it slowly. (I eat way to fast!)
