This week, we lost our Macki Girl and while no words could express how we feel, I thought this collection of photos might just do that. We will miss her but so grateful and so thankful that we had her with us 14 years. RIP, Miss Macki...

She looked lovely! I also try to remember the good times and that we gave them a good life. I remember Simon and Garfunkel's words, If I never loved I never would have cried. So it is good to have those great years, though we are sad when they are over. We wouldn't be without the experience!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about your beautiful friend. All sentient beings are worthy of our love, and Macki Girl was obviously deeply loved. And I especially loved the thoughts as expressed by Debra and LeanJean.

Sunny, I just happened across the news about Miss Macki Girl. I am so sorry for your loss, I do know how much you will miss her! We lost our Boston, Tuffy at the first part of the month and the emptiness is still there. We just know that there is no more suffering or pain for either of them. May God comfort you in your sorrow.

Ahhhh when we lose our furbabies it's every bit as tragic as losing a member of our family. Ms Mackie lived a very SPECIAL life having you as her fur momma and she will be waiting for you further down the river!

for your loss, Sunny. Our first dog died in 2006. She was also 14. Dogs become family, and it is hard when they pass. Macki was a beautiful dog.

There's something so beautiful about the way that dogs look at the world (and at us) that it seems beyond the bounds of decency that they should be subject to passing out of it as we are. Yet, what a bountiful trail of love they leave behind them. She had a wonderful life with you and I know you had one with her.

Such a sweet expression in Miss Macki's eyes. Anyone would fall in love with her. We lost dear animal friends...a German shepherd and two black & white cats. I still miss them. We have another dog, Angel...pictures of her are on my Spark page. She is over 12 now, and I know I will miss her terribly some day. I am so sorry for your loss.

Oh Sunny, thank you for sharing these pictures of Miss Macki with all of us. You can tell from these pictures she knew she was so loved, and how much she loved you. She's up there with our two, and I know they will find each other from our friendship, and will probably have a ball hanging out together! She's still there with you right where she belongs - in your hearts. Soon you'll be able to remember her with a smile instead of a tear.
