Trying new things!

Today a friend posted her and her husband were going to be walking down at the beach. I thought hey that sounds like fun and maybe I should give it a try. I really wanted to go but wasn't sure how DH would feel. Would he want to go or not? If not would he stay with the kids? If so what were we going to do with the kids. So I called and asked him and he said it sounded fun! He keeps taking more and more smaller steps to get healthier himself and support me on this journey. We then decided to ask my nephew to watch the kids. We got there and instead of walking/running the group started doing different exercises and each person had to pick one thing we did. Like Lunges, Push-ups, Sprints, planks..etc. It was a lot of fun but I was worried DH wouldn't do it. However he did! YAY then we walked on the beach and jogged a little and then walked the pier. All told it was a little over 2 miles we walked. My feet and butt are killing me though so I know I worked different area's then normal! It was fun and I hope to do it again sometime.

As you can kind of see in that last photo I said to DH I think a storm is rolling in. About 45 minutes later we have thunder and lighting. Thankfully that was after we were home.
