three months of hel and it's almost over!!!!!

Sunday, July 07, 2013

There I had to get that out first. I have great awesome wonderful news! I have two more weeks of having to "take it easy". Then as the nurses guess, there is a 90% chance I will be able to start back exercising and get back to normal! Well, normal for me.

I decided not to sue the Dr. Although she is well aware that if she screws me over again or anyone else. I will most likely hold a "meeting" in a dark alley with her. So she and everybody else listens to me quite attentively. I figure a law suit is covered be the hospital's insurance but if I shatter the bones in her hands she will never harm another again. Scary? yes. But she gets to keep breathing. Which is better than what some of my family and friends wanted to do.

Anywhoo I am using the next two weeks to get used to waking up early, putting my work out gear in order. Gear up for square one. Funny thing about having to sit on your butt all day for three months. Any weight you may have lost because of surgery or before, comes back. So I am at 243.2 pounds as the scales at the docs office says.
But for the past two months I have been Whiny McWhiny pants because of lack of anything to do. I tried to make my bed early last month and about doubled over from the owie. but now I am, (ahem) TWO WEEKS AWAY!!!!!!!!... from being normal!

And I owe it to the home health care nurses, my sisters, and niece, A.K.A mother hens from hell (Do you have any idea how embarrassing it is to be called out by a fourteen year old and you can't defend yourself cause she is 100% right?!) and my; guardian angel, best friend, nurse maid, sister, Holly. They all sat on me and made sure I did what I was suppose to. Ate right. and most importantly didn't go completely insane.

but I did learn a few things while I was on extremely enforced sabbatical.

1. Protein, Protein, Protein!
your body mainly uses protein to rebuilt any tissue damage like from a surgery so up your protein....and yes you can get sick and tired of steak. When I am finally healed I don't think I want to even look at another piece of meat for a month!

2. Nap often.
There are two reasons for this. Your body heal it's most when you sleep, and it makes the time go by faster.

3. You REALLY want to go walking when you are not allowed.
My god I have never missed my bunnies more than I do now! Waking up, and going out side and seeing that beautiful shade of periwinkle that the sky gets only in the morning sunrise. Or seeing road runners, bunnies, and the occasional coyote. I think I am gonna take a break from writing and go whimper in the corner for a while ...............*whimper*

4. Heat waves suck when you are not aloud real showers.
If you have been watching the news you know that southern california has been going through a really bad heat wave.....guess where I live? a hour and a half from the hottest place on the planet!!!!! DEATH FREAKING VALLEY!!!! Sponge baths just don't cut it! But last Wednesday I was given the go ahead to finally have real showers I have been having about five a day.

5. When you have all the time in the world to write you can never think of what to say.
As you know I have been writing a zombie a-poc how to guide. I should of done way more than I did but I sat at the computer (when allowed) and drew a complete blank. I did get some done and I will post daily until I have posted it all.

6. You never really know how luck you are until you are tested.
Yes I have lost all ability to have children. Yes thanks to a Doctors ego I almost died. And yes for almost three months I have been bored out of my freaking skull. But you know what. I have friends and family that support me. I am getting my health back. I have survived. And I am blessed.

P.S. i will be posting the previously mentioned banned in my house food list later tomorrow for it is bed time

P.P.S. yes there will also be a zombie thing too

AWESOME news! Nothing quite like NOT being able to do the things we take for granted in life to highlight how much they mean to us. ENJOY your showers, and continue to prepare for the day you can actually get up and get out for a walk! (But remember to take it slow and easy - your brain is WAY more prepared than your body, most likely!)
