Well just reading my starting sentence on my profile, and long ago I was a UK size 20 and starting out. Not exactly sprinting to my final finish, but, I am now a UK size 16 and much fitter and stronger than I was :)
However, as with any long and slow journey, I have lost focus a little bit recently, so I have decided to start my own personal challenge. I follow Slimming World Eating plan which is very healthy, but I have not really been 'on plan' since a holiday in Italy in June, so best of luck to me as I start my challenge:
> 10 days
> 100% On Plan
> 2 Hours exercise per day
Well today I set the plan late at night, and today was, well, LONG.
Got up, Washing in the machine, cooked breakfast for me and Mr Jane, washed up from breakfast (and teenager random dirty dishes left from late last night, of course), walked the dogs (I have two, Henry the Chocolate Labrador and Harry the rescued Basset Hound), cup of tea to recover from the hour duration hot dog walk, packed my case, had a shower and left for the airport.
I had dinner in the airport (carpaccio with salad and then courgette risotto - photo attached), washed down with sparkling water. My flight was then delayed and I sulked a little and went and got myself a skimmed mild iced latte to commiserate with myself, (I forgot initially to put this on my food list this evening, so easily done! I also nearly forgot it at the coffee shop where I ordered, paid and walked away till they called me to go back and get my drink, which makes me wonder if I really wanted it, and how often I do that?).
I found a quiet ish corner in the airport, sat down with my coffee and called my step mother to wish her Happy Birthday, spoke to my Dad :), and then called one of my brothers - and then, yippee my flight boarded at last, off to the Netherlands.
My flight of course after the hour long delay the other end landed late, and I was worried the car hire company would be closing soon, so I rushed to the office to collect my hire car and made it there at 10.30pm (apparently they close at 11pm but I thought it was earlier - good body magic running to get there though).
Hour long drive to my hotel, one glass of wine whilst watching a little Luther on TV, and off to sleep.
Food diary for my day:
-Bacon, poached egg, brown toast and tea.
-Water, water, water,
-Courgette risotto and salad
-Glass of red wine
I did 12000 steps according to my fitbit.
Tomorrow, day one proper of my 10 day personal challenge...I am actually looking forward to it.
