Cleanse and Detox

We couldn't wait to do grocery shopping, so last night we shopped and got lots of fresh produce. Yum! I am so excited to finally have some good food in the house.

Today I am starting a 3 day cleanse and detox plan. Eating whatever is available in the house for weeks has had me living on highly processed carbs. I'm hoping to get that out of my system and incorporate a lot of fresh veggies. This morning I had a kale, celery, apple and lemon smoothie. I don't have a juicer, so it all gets put in a blender. A little chunkier than I typically like my drinks, but not too bad. I feel great knowing I did good this morning. Now I'm working on my water, and trying to stay on track the rest of the day.

    Good for you! Nothing better than fresh produce! I make smoothies for my Beloved all the time using fruits and yogurts. Those are things that I can only have once a week. So while I make a smoothie for him, I like to eat them on my allowed days just as they are.

    Good for you! I love homemade smoothies and fresh juice. I have an issue with texture & my smoothies, so I tend to like the juice better. I love cucumber, celery, spinach, & apple juice. Or carrot, celery, & an apple. Delish! emoticon
