Hiking in Montano de Oro - California Coast

Tuesday, August 06, 2013

This is where we started, down at the beach. It was perfect weather, a little foggy so we didn't get too hot, but clear up on the hills.

The peak in the distance is where we were heading, somewhere over the top of that would take us back to views of the ocean.

This is above the last picture and turning back towards the ocean. The rolling hills are so much fun to hike in because it's all so open.

We're almost at the crest and we can see the ocean again.

That's Morro Rock in the distance (Morro Bay, California).

Heading back.

It was a great morning hike. It was about 6 miles long and it was fun to be out in the hills.
