Have to say it again. Gluten free, caffeine free, calorie restriction and training & running a 5k did all make me feel healthier (except calorie restriction)... but no inches lost!
EVEN after the 5k! NOW, I have been gluten free for over 3 years, caffeine free since June, and have been working out all year.... nuthin'...as far as inches go..... weird, huh? BUT after a dr visit I started eating more in line with the Atkins type meals (not perfectly, because I love fruit and veggies) and the inches have consistantly been coming off and I don't feel deprived! In fact, I give myself a 'free day' once a week, but amazingly do not go crazy on that day, just feel free to not count the carbs. WHEW
am I glad those inches finally started coming off !!! I was starting to feel like a freak of nature! AND, my hair started filling back in.
Wooohoo! :) I have ALSO started to make it a point to baby me a little bit, and take stress seriously, not as some cliche'. One 'little' thing that has given me a boost in my mood & day is that I know the hour before dinner seems stressful to me, so now I have the kiddos busy themselves in their rooms at about 4:30 when I start cooking, I let one stay in the kitchen with me (there are 3) and tell her as long as she is busy coloring or etc she can stay but that mom needs some re energizing time.... I put on my really good headphones for running.... and I start cleaning the dishes and cooking with upbeat music blaring in my ears.... I cannot tell you the restful, stress lowering affect this one little change has had on my day!!!! I am no longer stressed out buy the time hubby comes home from work, dinner is ready kids are in a better mood from some alone time... and I am happier the rest of the night!!!!
