I have finally experienced some weight loss success after many years of being on Spark and struggling. I think it is so important to remember what helped me, so that when I am challenged, I can look back and see what worked.
One of the biggest helps to getting my body losing was exercise. I am a huge believer- and research supports- that diet is about 80% of the battle...you really are a reflection of what you eat. But the exercise became very important in my success and has helped me in a few significant ways.

~it helped me tighten my jiggle so I lost inches
~it helped me feel better- more energy
~it helped me believe in myself
~it made me have an easier time staying on track
I tried to challenge myself with my exercise. I tried to stay away from doing the same thing everyday. I climbed the sledding hill, I rode my bike, I walked, I swam, I attempted to run -
I just made sure I was trying new things, and my body liked that.

Workout time is not easy to come by for any of us, so I challenged myself to get more out of each session. I didn't do all 3 of those things- just one thing, each workout. I dug deeper, and I got results.
Some day, I may be having a hard time and telling myself I can not make progress. This blog will help me remember that not only Can I...I did! And I will continue!
Exercise is not the only ingredient to weight loss.....but it sure does do a lot of great things in my life and I really want to keep at it!
