My relationship with food.

Sunday, October 06, 2013

Spark Coach wants to know about my relationship with food. Right now I would have to say about a 3 on a scale where 1 is not so healthy and 10 is healthy.

My reasoning is that I am not eating in moderation and my food choices are not the best...just the most convenient!!

I need to pre-package my favorites. Reduce buying treats. And cook more often for myself. I can make a meal and freeze it instead of heating up something frozen. It will be more nutritious and I will have more than one meal each time I cook. Hince...the food to put in the freezer for a later date.

Sounds doable!

I haven't been able to cut down recipes for just hubby and me, so the freezer is definately the answer. So nice to pick some homemade meal out of the freezer and enjoy . emoticon

It is doable! I've been doing it since DD#3 left for school. It is hard for me to cook for 2 after cooking for 5 for so many years! So I made a big pot of marinara sauce and packaged it up in 1 meal containers. (So I just need to boil some noodles). I did the same thing with chili and 2 different soups. Easy! And Rubbermaid containers are cheap from the grocery store! Good luck! You can do it!!!

When I was single parenting my 4 boys, I always had to cook lots of food for the meal! Hence, the boys are all on their own, I've re-married and I still find I'm cooking for 6 of us now even though the boys are not here. So, I have learned to freeze several different meals for the two of us out of one day's cooking! Works great!!

This is a good plan....I like doing this. Instead of having left overs in the fridge I freeze them for future use. Have a good Sunday and keep smiling and sparking.
