Back to Life! (I Hope!)

It’s been a couple of months since my last consistent activity on SparkPeople. I apologize to those who left me messages on my SparkPage or blogs but never received a response from me. There has been an increase of business at my job (which is a good thing) so I haven’t had much down time and when I go home, I have not felt like logging in (which is not necessarily a good thing). I wish I could say that during my absence I was rockin’ it with the workouts and major weight loss. However, my commitment to increased physical activity continues to be my biggest challenge. On the positive side, I am still losing weight because of making healthier food choices and watching my portions. If only I would couple it with workouts, I would probably be losing weight faster and my body would be more toned. I am making progress in spite of it though. I weighed myself this morning and came in at 193.6, I am now 32 pounds lighter than when I started at the beginning of this year! Only 21 more pounds to shed and I will finally step back into the healthy BMI range! If I can get down to 149 lbs that would be what I weighed in my 20s but, for now, I am aiming for 159 since that’s in the middle of my healthy BMI weight range (128-173 lbs).
Although I have not been as active on SparkPeople lately, I am still so happy with the tools this site has given me and I am grateful to my Spark Friends who have been encouraging me along the way. Beginning today, I want to get back into the swing of things. I need to get back to my health walks, Pilates, and using the SP tools again. Those are the things that really boosted my progress and I need to re-focus now that we have entered the holiday season. We all will be facing so many temptations in the next few months so it is extremely important to renew the commitment to healthy eating and healthy living!
