Something wrong....with me.... So confused/frustrated

Tuesday, October 15, 2013

I wish I had a guru to walk beside me and tell me what is going on!
I drink loads of water, eat within calorie range, do moderate exercise 3-4 times a week, but for some reason I gained 4 pounds over the last week and I am back to looking 8 months pregnant!
No wonder why people give up...rephrase...no wonder I give up over and over and over! emoticon

I am not sure where to turn, what to do. I alternate high impact with low impact, walking and jogging. I've done boot camps and Zumba ...all of this FUN for me, but I have not seen anything overly positive in so many years. emoticon I must be doing something wrong, or there is something wrong with me, inside. I have fire physicals tonight, thinking of skipping, why put myself through that.

I don't mean to sound so depressing, but I am lost. Discouraged and frustrated.

I am going to put on a coach Nicole video and do something, regardless of how futile it is.

I completely understand how discouraged you feel. I have been there too. But then, it seems like the weight loss kicks back in, without any apparent rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes I think it just takes our bodies a bit of time to adjust to our healthy choices and increased movement. Just give it a bit of time. As other posters have said, it also could be hormones or water retention. Maybe try some different foods while you remain compliant with your plan. I also like the idea of changing up your calorie intake within your range/plan from high to low or low to high, which ever is appropriate. I remember hearing that strategy at weight watchers years ago. Hang in there. Good for you for reaching out. You can do it, and we are here for you!

Tell me - overall, do you feel healthier? That is the most important part. If you have more energy and you feel better you are doing a great job. Please don't get discouraged. There could be a number of reasons - have you had your thyroid checked? Hang in there....

It might be water and then it all leaves all at once. When I see THAT big of a jump I start drinking water like a mad woman to flush out some salt, even if I think I didn't eat that much salt.

There are tons of reasons why you could have seen a gain. I am sure it is temporary. Did you eat something salty? Hormones can be evil. It will come off don't worry.

I hope you can figure out what's going on. I recommend switching up your food intake. If you are eating at the low end of your calorie range, eat at the high end. If you are eating at the high end, try eating at the low eat. Maybe try using measuring cups and/or a food scale to get an accurate amount of the food you are eating. emoticon emoticon
